Statement on New York’s 2018 Call for Renewable Energy Projects

ALBANY, NY (April 25, 2018) — With today’s news that New York has released the Year-2 Request for Proposals (RFP) under the 2016 Clean Energy Standard, Anne Reynolds, Executive Director of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY) released the following statement: “The renewable energy industry welcomes New York’s new RFP for 1.5 million MWh of renewable energy and is committed to investing in New York to create jobs and help achieve Governor Cuomo’s 50% by 2030 Clean Energy Standard. In this second year of the Clean Energy Standard program, we now have the second request for renewable energy projects, which is great news and demonstrates New York’s solid commitment to this program. Our member companies look forward to competing for the opportunity to serve New Yorkers and provide pollution-free power,” stated Anne Reynolds of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York. She continued, “Combining new renewable energy with aggressive energy efficiency – as the Governor announced last week – is the right recipe for achieving 50% by 2030.”
